Have you ever read something that resonated with you? I don’t just mean a quote or saying that had you nodding and agreeing, but something that touches you deeply and profoundly.
Someone gave me a calendar of daily quotes that contained this gem:
“The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who’s going to stop me.” – Ayn Rand
I love the belligerence of the quote, the determination behind it. It tells you to go ahead and do, or think, as you choose, not seek permission first. I think it speaks more to women than men, but it encourages those who need the boost to follow their own path.
So go ahead, do what you think you should. Don’t wait for permission to try new things or to be yourself. Do it. Try that new thing, take that step, put aside the things that hold you back, and go for it!
What's it about?
My thoughts on writing, the research I do, and what interests and inspires me as a writer.
